Volleyball: Camps & Clinics

The Edge Sports Center offers Volleyball instruction in several formats throughout the year. Please click on the appropriate link to learn more about what is available.

• In the Spring and Fall, we offer Instructional Volleyball Leagues that take place once per week for 8 - 10 weeks. Session time is split between skill-building through drills and controlled scrimmages.
• In the Summer, we offer several Week-long Summer Volleyball Camps in June and July.
• In the Winter, we offer several mini-camps at various times
  • Winter Break Camp between Christmas and New Year's
  • "School's Out" clinics on Martin Luther King Day and President's Day
  • Middle School Pre-Tryout Camp in February.

All of our Youth Volleyball programs are lead by Coach Ali Powell. Ali has been an instructor in our Volleyball league since our first session in 2005, and the director since 2006.  She has over 12 years of experience playing competitive Volleyball and is currently playing in adult competitive leagues at CSU, the City of Fort Collins, and others. She has recently been head coach of a travel Volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball Club in Fort Collins. In the Fall of 2009, she was an Assistant Coach for the Fossil Ridge High School Volleyball Team which won the District Tournament.

The Volleyball Facility at The Edge

The large indoor synthetic turf field of The Edge Sports Center, with its 30 foot ceilings and excellent lighting, makes it a natural setting to hold grass volleyball camps and leagues. In many ways, it is actually preferable to an outdoor grass volleyball setup. Our 'ground' is perfectly flat, and there is no wind or rain to dampen the spirits of the players. For instructional activities such as camps and clinics,, up to six full size courts (30' x 60') can be set up, with 8' between courts on the side, 10' from the wall on either end, and a full 40' in the center where spectators can watch.
