Rules for Indoor Soccer at The Edge Sports Center
6 v 6 Format: FIFA/CSYSA rules, with the minor modifications
listed below, are used to govern the play of 6 v 6 indoor soccer leagues at The
Edge Sports Center.
- Field size is smaller and varies by age as described elsewhere
in this section
- Goal size is smaller
- U10 and older: 18’ 6” x 6’6”
- U6 and U8: 12’ x 6’6”
- Games have two 25-minute halves, with a two-minute halftime.
- For all but the youngest ages, a two referee, diagonal system
will be used.
- There are 6 players on the field, including the goal keeper
- Each team must bring a set of light colored and dark colored
jerseys. In case of conflict, as determined by the referee, the
team designated as ‘home’ will change their jerseys.
- If the ball touches the ceiling net, or any other part of the
building (including trusses, divider curtains, lights, baseball
hitting tunnels, etc.) over the field of play, a throw-in will
be given to the other team from the one that last touched the
ball.
Other rule clarifications may be added form time to time. A complete
set of rules for playing Indoor Soccer at The Edge Sports Center
will be provided to coaches when they register.
3 v 3 Format: Standard ‘Got Milk’
National Championship rules, with the minor modifications listed
below, are used to govern the play of 3 v 3 indoor soccer leagues
at The Edge Sports Center.
- Each team must bring a set of light colored and dark colored jerseys. In
case of conflict, as determined by the referee, the team designated as ‘home’
will change their jerseys.
- If the ball touches the ceiling net, or any other part of the building (including
trusses, divider curtains, lights, baseball hitting tunnels, etc.) over the
field of play, a throw-in will be given to the other team from the one that
last touched the ball
