Description |
Have fun exploring and learning the basics of at least 15 different sports in one week! Sports in any given day or week of camp will be among the following: Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball, Field Hockey, Golf, Badminton, Ultimate Frisbee, Girls Lacrosse, Boys Lacrosse, Volleyball, Disc Golf, Tennis, Karate, Strength & Conditioning, Rugby, Kickball, Ping Pong, and others.
For each sport, the program will give an explanation of the rules, experience with the field layout and equipment, teaching of basic skills, and some small-sided games with lots of participation. In this way, campers will get a feel for the flow of each game, and the skills and athleticism typical to that sport. This should give them, and you, the parents or guardians, better information to decide what sport or sports to pursue further.
Note that the goal of this camp is to give EXPOSURE to many different sports, NOT to develop mastery in any one of them.
A small snack will be provided for each camper at the middle of each morning and afternoon session. CAMPERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING THEIR OWN LUNCH! |
Lead Instructor |
Each major segment of this camp will be led by an existing instructor of The Edge Sports Center with experience working with children and sports (for those sports that we offer on a regular basis) or an experienced outside coach or player of the sport being taught.
Overall camp organization is provided by Coach Pat Ebersole, co-owner of The Edge and mother of 3 (now grown-up!) children. |

The Facility
The Edge Sports Center consists of a 32,000 sq foot building with a 30 foot ceiling and a brand new, 180' x 122' (60 yds by 40 yds) synthetic turf field. This provides enough space for a full-sized baseball or softball diamond which can be quickly converted to a large indoor field for soccer, lacrosse, flag football, tackle football, volleyball, disc golf, tennis, rugby and similar sports.
Shown below is a picture of the inside of the facility as well as just a few of the many configurations of The Edge Sports Center.

The indoor field lighting is set to meet the high standards of professional Minor League Baseball, making it is the best lit indoor facility in Northern Colorado.
Auxiliary areas within the facility include baseball/softball batting cages, bullpens, live hitting tunnels, a training room for youth and adult fitness classes, and a meeting room with seating for up to 55 people. |
