Instructional Volleyball
Leagues |

Our Volleyball Instructional Leagues are designed for beginning and intermediate players (not for 'travel team' players). No experience is necessary. [Note: Players are split by skill and age after the first evening of each season.]
Instruction is provided by experienced, local, youth volleyball instructors. Leagues cover both individual and team skills. All basic volleyball skills are covered (as time and age allows).
Session time is split 50-50 between skill building through drills and small-sided, controlled games (no scores are kept). The focus is on LEARNING and on HAVING FUN! |

This program will be led by an experienced local Volleyball Instructor. |
| Equipment Required: No equipment is required although many players like to wear knee pads. These can be purchased at The Edge Sports Center or in any sporting goods store or department store in the area. |

There will be a "Skills Clinic" on Thursday, September 9 for all ages and levels of experience.
After the clinic, players will be split into INTERMEDIATE and BEGINNER Groups based on their level of play and age. These groups are not fixed and may change as the season progresses. |

The Volleyball Facility at The Edge
The large indoor synthetic turf field of The Edge Sports Center, with its 30 foot ceilings and excellent lighting, makes it a natural setting to hold grass volleyball camps and leagues. In many ways, it is actually preferable to an outdoor grass volleyball setup. Our 'ground' is perfectly flat, and there is no wind or rain to dampen the spirits of the players. For instructional activities such as camps and clinics,, up to six full size courts (30' x 60') can be set up, with 8' between courts on the side, 10' from the wall on either end, and a full 40' in the center where spectators can watch.
