Our Boys Instructional Lacrosse Leagues are designed for beginning and intermediate players (not for 'travel team' players). No experience is necessary. [Note: In the Fall, we offer separate leagues for Beginners and Intermediates.]
Instruction is provided by experienced, local lacrosse instructors. Leagues cover both individual and team skills. All basic lacrosse skills are covered (as time and age allows) with the exception of goal keeping.
Session time is split 50-50 between skill building through drills and small-sided, controlled games (no scores are kept). The focus is on LEARNING and on HAVING FUN! |

This program will be led by Coach Dylan Preble and other former and current players from the CSU Men's Lacrosse Team.
Dylan Preble was a four-year player on the CSU Men's Lacrosse Team. He has been an instructor in our Boys Instructional League for the last two years, and the Lead Instructor since the summer of 2009. Coach Preble is also an instructor in the newly formed Northern Colorado Lacrosse Academy located in Fort Collins. Coach Preble also manages the lacrosse specialty store in Fort Collins, Colorado Lacrosse and Company, and is therefore a great resource regarding lacrosse equipment for all levels of players. |
Equipment Required: All players in our boys lacrosse programs must have full equipment: helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, stick and mouth guard. Boys equipment can be rented at The Edge Sports Center or purchased or rented from our local Lacrosse Retail Partner, Colorado Lacrosse and Company (970-226-3260).
