Description

This camp is a great way to get your child started in baseball. No previous experience is necessary.  Camp covers basic baseball skills including throwing and catching the ball, fielding (grounders & fly balls), playing your position, and running the bases. Hitting instruction is also provided in separate groups: tee-ball hitting off a tee and 'coach pitch' hitting. Camp is appropriate for new and returning Tee-Ball players as well as for players making the transition to 'Coach Pitch' baseball from Tee-ball. (Note: Camp does not cover pitcher or catcher specific-skills.

As much as possible, players will be divided by skill and age for the camp. Number of separate groups depends on the number of players that register.

Equipment
  • Players need to bring their own baseball glove
  • All campers should bring a water bottle containing PLAIN WATER. Please write your camper's name on the container.

    Description

    This camp is targeted both towards players with NO previous baseball playing experience and is a great way to get your child started in baseball. "All Skills" topics covered include fielding (grounders & fly balls), hitting mechanics, basic base running skills, team defense. (Note: Camp does not cover pitcher or catcher specific-skills.

    This camp is targeted towards players with at least one year of Recreational Baseball Experience. "All Skills" topics covered include fielding (grounders & fly balls), hitting mechanics, basic base running skills, and team defense topics such as turning a double play. Basic pitcher & catcher techniques are covered for those interested.

    As much as possible, players will be divided by skill and age for the camp. Number of separate groups depends on the number of players that register.

    Description

    This camp is for both Competitive League (e.g. NCRL) Baseball Players & Intermediate League Players who are looking for an advanced camp in which they will to work hard to improve their overall baseball skills.

    Offensive Skill Camp covers hitting, bunting, baserunning and includes video analysis of hitting by the player

    Pitcher & Catcher Skills Camp - For pitchers, camp focuses on pitching mechanics and includes video analysis of pitching by the player. For catchers, camp focuses on blocking, throwing to bases, bunt defense and similar topics.

    Defensive Skills Camp - covers all basic defensive skills including position play at all positions (except catcher) and team defense (double plays, backing up, relays, cutoffs, etc.)

    The small-group hitting times are as follows:
    - Dec 15 - 19: 4:30 - 5:30pm
    - Dec 22 - Jan 2: 9 - 10 am

    Private hitting and pitching lessons are scheduled on a per player basis.

    Description

    The Fort Collins Foxes Baseball Team, active college baseball players from around the nation, were the 2008 Finalists of the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League. , Some of their Colorado-based players will be available to give instruction in baseball hitting and pitching over the Winter Break in the Edge Sports Center.

    For hitting, inexpensive, one hour long small group instruction is available every weekday. Private one-on-one lessons, one-half hour long, are also available.

    For pitching, private one-on-one lessons, one-half hour long, are available.

    Instructors

    Equipment
    For hitting, players are welcome to bring their own bat and/or helmet if they have them. For pitching, players should bring their own glove.
    Cost

    Hitting Lessons: $10/player per 1-hour small group lesson

    Private Hitting or Pitching Lessons: $22 per half-hour private lesson.

    Special Instructions

    For daily, small-group hitting, please call at least one day in advance to make a reservation. Walk-ins on the day of the lesson are not guaranteed to have an instructor available.

    For private hitting or pitching lessons, please call and schedule an appointment with a FC Foxes player.
